zf 6 speed value questions

ok so im helping my father in law sell a few items and on is a zf 6speed tranny for his 2000 f 550 4x4. it is used and in good working order. it was bought as a spare.."he buys spare everything" anyways could anyone shine some light on what its worth? im guessing around a grand...
