Rpm problems when shifting

Hi there,

I just bought a 2000 F250 7.3 (a month ago) trying to put up some pictures NICE TRUCK! Its standard, 1 low gear, 4 gears and a OD gear.

Ive noticed that when shifting from 1st to 2nd RPMs are fine, when shifting from 2nd to 3rd RPMs wont go past 2500 and the same for 3rd to 4th RPMs only go to 2200-2300 with the pedal to the floor.

I do run this truck on a %80 veggie and %20 Diesel But the truck did the same running %100 diesel.

Any ideas out there?? THX

check fuel pressure i guess. pump may be getting weak from trying to push all that vegoil. I found that 50/50 mix was as much as I wanted to run in mine. You could notice the lack of power after that. If the acceleration pedal rheostat is going bad than the truck may not know that your pedal is on the floor. usually there wil be some other symptoms if thats the prob though
even well made biodiesel is much thicker than dino diesel, a heated tank can help with that some too. I have buddies who run b100 regularly in their powerstrokes unless they are towing heavy
