Code 605
 

Hey guys,

I just got done doing an engine rebuild and before I started the truck I was hooking a scanner up to the truck to make sure there werent any given codes. Well, the scanner didnt read at all and the truck wouldnt turn over, so we replaced the pcm with one from another truck. the replacement one came out of a truck that currently doesn not run. However, there were no indications (apparently) that the pcm was bad. if there were the guy didnt give me the info. So, we plugged it in and the truck turned over and ran for a little bit and then shut down. After we got the truck back we scanned it and got the pcm code 605.

So I am asking, should I replace the pcm or could it be the case that my truck is eating pcm's for dinner (as in a wiring issue). We would really hate to take apart the wiring after we just got the engine back in the truck (assembled out of the truck). We checked over evertyhing almost too much while we were doing the rebuild.
