No throttle when driving!!

I have a 2000 7.3 F-350 and pull a 40 foot flat . Lately when i am under a load and going 50 to 60 mph I let off the peddle to coast into a speed zone when I get back on the throttle I HAVE NONE !! I can pump the peddle to the floor 5 or 6 times until it comes back , the engine is still running and I don't lose any power but start to slow down fast.. Last night the service engine light came on when this happens and went off as soon as I had throttle again.. The scanner at Auto Zone would not read any codes..could this be a sensor problem because of the electronic throttle??

Look under the dash at the pedal is the pedal a assembly with a sensor on it that plugs into it ? If so this could be it I firget what the name of it Is but I know someone who has a 6.0 and they had the same exact problem but the sensor is biult onto the pedal so you will get a whole new pedal if you take it off or change it

A good test to see if it is the pedal is turn the truck on and bring the r's up to a grand and hold it. If the pedal is bad you will watch the r's cut in and out. If that is the problem they are not hard to change(its like 3 bolts and a plug) I had already put three of them in my truck before i had it fixed for good. The problem is pretty widespread in those trucks everyone i know that has a 99-03 has replaced the pedal at least once, so your local auto parts store "should" have one in stock.
