programming questions

I just got a edge juice with attitude for my 2003f350 and want some more, not very impressed with the output, the engine monitoring system is nice though. i was going to do a ts chip but apparently it with overide the edge, can i run that when i want it and set it to stock when i want? or what else can i stack in order to get some more power, turbo injectors and hpop are on my list but id rather not dump that much money right now.

Dont stack tuners. Get a TS chip from a good tuner and use the edge as a monitor only.

Stacking is for pringles, the ts chips have an option for a stock setting

I have a ts chip on the way right now. Ive heard nothin but good things on them. I actually just sold my edge on craigslist about 2 weeks ago then bought me some gauges and saved a little more and got this chip. Ts chip is $240 shipping and everything out the door

Since there has been a lot of nomenclature errors so far in your thread, I'll clear them up.

The Juice is not a programmer. The CS/CTS ones DO program the transmission, but the "power levels" are handled only through manipulation of the injection control pressure signal to the PCM. No tuning involved there.

It will work with a TS chip (or other companies/variants) but since most of them already handle injection pressure changes in their tuning, the inputs/outputs from the Juice, while they will still take place, will only cause high pressure oil concerns under load and may cause a touchy accelerator pedal response issue.

I assume you have the CS or CTS (I'm not aware if the older ones are still available), but it will work perfectly fine as a monitor for scan data. If you have the older model, then the only inputs that it monitors (besides EGT which is not supplied by the PCM) will be boost and engine RPM.

There is really nothing wrong with the way the Juice handles power increases as people had been doing it that way for years before actual tuning advancements were made. Since you're likely pretty new to this, just Google "10K Mod" and you'll find that it was pretty popular. The Juice handles power increases the same way, it just costs substantially more.

the edge is not good for a 7.3 at all it can fry your pcm the ts are nice i have a sct x3 and i love it, it can do anything you want plus you can get custom tunes that is exactly how you like it
