difference between a hpop on 03 or 94

Just curious if there is a difference in the hpop between 03 and 94 other than the quick connect fittings on the 03?

Friend gave me a reman pump (never installed) but it has the flare fitting on it instead of the quick connects. Everything else looks Identical.

My pump is leaking out of the large access cover on back of pump and I am told there is not fix other than a new pump. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes there is a big difference. The 94 pump is a lesser 15* pump vs your factory 17* pump in the 03. It will struggle with your split shot injectors...

I should have been a little clearer in my original statement. My 03 is a 7.3 powerstroke not a 6.0. I thought that only the 6.0 had splitshot injectors.

I find that when buying a oem reman that it is a different part number for the years 94-97 and then form 98-03. However purchasing a aftermarket pump (like the adrenaline) it ranges from years 94-03 with the same part # and does not come with the fitting for the lines.

I find it odd that this pump looks identical except for those fittings (screw on VS Quick connect. Not saying that it couldnt be different. I am getting conflicting stories about whether it is different or not.

My supplier told me it was different but offered to buy mine and sell me a reman for $250 more. I guess I am testing the integrity there word now.

Thanks
Thanks for the help

There is a difference in the obs pump and the sd pump.. That's the reason for the part number difference. You can swap the pumps no problem. They are physically similar except for the connections but internally they are not and putting the obs pump into your 03 will not work well. All superduties came with split shot injectors. Yours has AD injectors, 140cc splits. The obs pump will struggle to run those... The aftermarket pumps like adrenaline or srp1 are made for either truck, can operate split shots and singles. Alot of obs guys will run the sd pump because it can do more than the 15* pump in the obs.

Sorry for grammar errors, Im on my phone...

Just send the obs pump back and either buy the right factory replacement or an srp1...

Thanks, I have been getting conflicting stories on this for 3 days of which they have been about 50/50. I have decided to go get the right pump
