New here but not new to diesel world but need some advice....

Hello to all and great to be here. A little about my truck so that the info out there. I have a pre 99 f350 dually crew cab 4x4. my motor is stock with cold air intake I have 4inch exhaust from turbo back with 7 inch dual chrome aussie cut stacks. I have a edge juice with additude tuner on the truck. I have been wanting to do bigger injectors and a fuel system now this is where im going with this.......

Ok so my powerstroke broke down, wenesday had it checked out at Acme Diesel in Knoxville TN. They told me five injectors were bad and that my glow pugs are bad and my turbo and pedistol are shot. They told me that all this going to cost 4700.00 I told them that I wanted to upgrade my injectors and with the new turbo go ahead and put a wicked wheel in it. They told me to go with injectors that will add 75hp if I were to go this route would I have to have the fuel system right away?

Ask them what a 75 hp injector is? You want to know fuel displacement and nozzle size... Like my injectors are a 160cc/stock nozzle..

And to answer your question, yes, I would do a regulated return when putting in bigger injectors otherwise you will be screwing your new injectors with your deadhead system...

First thing I would do is ask them how they know five of your injectors are shot... I would then as them how they know your turbo and pedistal are shot...

I highly doubt your injectors are "shot".

What were the symptoms when your truck "broke down"?

ok so I talked to the shop and they said 110cc above stock injectors he said that it would put me in the range of 250-260cc injectors I am putting a new stock turbo in for now just adding a wicked wheel to help with surge I hope. In a week or two when i recoupe some funds i will have to add a air dog 2 i think?

when the truck went down I had to push the gas to the floor and hold it there just to get the truck to start rolling and then it took what felt like a mile to get up to 25 mph. well I turned it off then it took thrity minutes for it to crank over again. I have made sure to maintian this truck very well. I have slowly been adding things to the truck. maybe the chip didn't help. This gives me a chance to do a little upgradeing normally try to do the work myself but with it being injectors and some of the nightmares i have about diy gone wrong i think that paying an certified shop is the way to go.
