leaking diesel fuel

where are some common areas for a 7.3 to leak fuel? my truck began to leak diesel fuel about a day ago. it seems to be coming from the passenger side of the truck. ive looked under it when its running and it doesn't leak, turned it off and looked no leak. after leaving it sit over night i found a spot of diesel fuel about 4 inches wide. im thinking its a seal leaking, ive wiped down around the oil pan fuel lines and around the tranny. and i looked this morning and there is fuel around the tranny and on the side of the oil pan. any help would be great. i dont think its the fuel lines but i may be wrong

may be coming from the top of motor. return lines. or, fuel filter. that's where mine was leaking, return lines.

More then likely its the fuel bowl drain... very common.

You need to dry up the valley area and get in there with a flashlight or whatever you need to do... Guessing at it isn't going to get you anywhere besides a lot of work and money in parts... Could literally be anything in the valley of the motor that is a fuel system component...

yeah seems like a problem area on em o well first time its been changed since the factory so i cant complain

Its not a problem persay, but a maintance issue... Most of them by this time have been done, and alot of the issue came from the switch to ULSD a few years ago.

could be as simple as the fuel filter gasket. trust me....i know from experience :argh:
