power-steering brake line?

okay ive never herd of this happenings before but my buddy was driving down the intestate and all of a sudden he lost his power steering and his brakes he had to stop with his emergency brakes.i had to tow him to a local diesel shop. so the maniac told us it was a power steering brake line assist that went bad. after they installed a new one ( we have the old one with us ) the truck worked like normal. ive never herd of this before anyone got more info on this? seems like a major flaw

Your power steering and your power brakes use the same power steering pump to supply pressure. Loose one, you loose them both.

No more then a car or truck with power brakes... Vacumn pump goes out, you have no brakes...

Serp belt breaks you have no power steering, brakes or other wise.

Kinda like people bitching about CPS's... Woo no brakes when the motor dies... No shit, name one car or truck on the road today with power brakes that still has power brakes if the motors off...

I think you had brakes still, just gotta stand on them without the power assist :c:

If you cant stop your truck without power brakes do some power walking. It doesnt take a lot of effort.

There are tons of ways to lose brakes and/or steering on any car. Stop yer whinin. :humm:
