How can I prevent this from happening again, and why did this happen to begin with....

I had a diesel perfromance shop install it that does 10 of these a day. So what does that mean? I disconnect my battierys everytime that it happens(every 30mins) and it goes away, if the chip is turned up from stock it happens in like 5 mins. my truck only has 135,000 miles on it
|
are the conections clean?
|
I have no idea TSD did everything, could that cause my truck to go into limp mode??

Ok well the trans shop that has done e4od trannies for 10 years said it a limp mode that protects the trans, and "it" is the flashing overdrive light....... They said it could be PCM, and I herd that a ts chip can cause it

The TS chip did nothing to your truck, or the PCM. The TS chip added enough HP to kill your tranny. End of story. Flashing OD light means code stored in the PCM, pull it and go from there. Could be as simple as a VSS in the rear end, or a valve body issue... |

I am trying to get exactly what your problem (truck related) is, and what you were giving myself, and others was not enough to get any good information back to you. THanks! |

I'm sorry if I said something to hurt your feelings, that was not my intentions. However you posted that a TS chip fried your PCM... That was just simply not the case.

I've been talking to people on here for days and everyone on here has a different thought, it's as simple as it sounds and I'm confused my self on what it could be that's why iv posted three links about it on here and posted on peoples links talking about this problem. And the reason I posed f*** was because right now I don't feel like replacing my trucks tranny considering its only got 136000 miles and the ts chip has been on it for a week. :argh:
I toasted my first tranny in my first OBS at about 60k, then in my 97 at 120k, and this truck ate trannys for the first 100k, I think I had 6 in that time! lol |
Ok well I,m going to rebuild it with all billet parts if this tranny is bad so it can hold hp, not to much for what I want but just so I don't have to worry about it, what do you suggest?

Just the ts chip maybe fuel system and injectors, besides that prolly 150 hp area
|
You dont need billet crap... Get a good 3 disk TC, a good rebuild kit and thats it.
Unless you have experance with trannys I would not build it yourself. |
Yeah I'm not gonna touch it, but I want it to be reliable
|
|
Will do, thanks for you help!
