What he said, have you ever replaced glow plugs and the relay on your truck?? If not its time... or a good place to start

i just replaced the glow plugs in april, the strange thing is this first happend after i put a new valve cover gasket on the passenger side. I will start with a new relay and see what happens and also sometimes when i go to fire up the truck it wont start and the check engine light comes on while im cranking but ounce i turn the key off and try again it starts so any ideas on that???

Thank you

maybe the connection in your valve cover gaskets are bad??

i live at 10000 ft in the mountains, it gets down to the low 40s and high 30s at night alot. But if the connection was bad wouldnt i be able to tell??? cuz to me it runs fine once it starts.

put a test light on the GPR. if that i fine then ohm. out the GP pins at the VC plugs.

I'm having kind of the same problem but here it's temps in the 70s and 80s. Takes a couple cranks to get going and runs rough for about 5 seconds before idling fine. Truck runs great afterwards and starts easy when warmed up. I would think it would fire right up when it's that warm outside. Let me know if you get it figured out.

i went to start the truck today and it started fine this time but im still going to check the relay

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

i went to start the truck this morning and it acted up and would not start on the first attempt but the second attempt worked and it fired right up but i heard a clicking sound so i popped the hood and put my hand on the GP relay and could feel it clicking and after about 30 seconds it stopped, is it suppost to be doing that?
