Opnion on 1994.5 powerstroke
 
Hey so found this on craigslist and wanted to See y'alls opnion I'm not a stranger to diesels I currently have a 01 cummins and have lots of friends who have 7.3 diesels. I talked to owner and he has put gauges and exhaust on it and just regular maintenance but does have 290000 miles so whats your opinions

Well a powerstroke can last for a good long wile, the ones I know end up needing rebuilt at 300K depending on how good the owner REALY took care of it and what kind of driving it did, if it lives in the city or where there is a alot of stop and go, Id avoid em.

Any how, the 7.3L a good engine no doubt, but the ones with the 450K have had really good owners to them, A cummins wont make it to 400K without a good owner, but yea that truck looks clean, ask him if hes ever replaced the lift pump if not you will proably need one.
Not to big of a pain to replace either just takes a couple hours of your time... I guess all I need to say make sure its a decent truck for the price and mileage. Good luck and happy huntin!

Wow, looks like I missed some things in here...

anyways, truck looks really clean and the price seems fair. OBS trucks always pull a fortune. Be a good truck for an engine swap if the powerstroke did give up.
