need help trying to figure this out

I bought a 95 f350 7.3 Turbo today to be a backup and trash truck. I'm trying to figure out what this black box in the floor is. It says rpm control, charge protect, power, and a ford button. It has ford written all over it and looks like it came in it but all it seems to do is tell me the rpms. Ill try and post a picture later. Trying to find out what it is and what it does.

Its AIC, axillary idle control.

How does it work though? What does it do? I don't want to play with it and mess anything up.

i have never messed with one but you can adjust the idle with it and idle at and RPM you want.

K thanks i was able to find a online manual after you told me what it was. Think ill just put it in the glovebox. Here's another question. Its absolutely horrible to start in the morning and after it sits for a few hours it sputters for a second or two after it starts. I believe its losing its prime? Its the worst after it sits overnight. How do I prime it? Is there a valve somewhere like on my Chevy? If i shut it down and start it back up anytime from immediately to a hour it starts and runs fine.
