fuel leaking not sure where from??

i have notince every time i stop driving my truck wil drop a couple drops of fuel on the ground and its NOT coming from the fuel bowl any ideas where its coming from? i looked at the very back of my motor and there was a little bit of fuel in the back like it had drained back there? i hear thers a cone lookin thing to the right of the bowl that will smtimes leak any ideas?

The silver cone you are probably referring to is your water in fuel sensor and mine went bad once and it was leaking out the back where the wire connects. Would leave a big puddle of fuel (would fill the valley and leak down by the inspection plate on the tranny) after every time i stopped the truck for 10 minutes. Sensor costs about 50 bucks just make sure that it hasn't backed out of its threads before you buy another one.

mine was leaking from there too. but make sure you look everything over to know exactly where it's leaking from. if theres just fuel sitting on the back it could be the banjo bolt that going into your lift pump if its also in the valley then its coming from fuel bowl and then you have a couple of options like water in fuel sensor, drain, and the sensor on the side, fuel lines, or you could have a cracked bowl in which I have seen before also

i know that its not my bowl i hjave checked that out im going to check the water in fuel sensor next

i had about 4 leaks back there! the lines, the sensor, the drain tube and last but not least, the lift pump! start it up, get a light and try and find it. some of the leaks were very very hard to find, but i had enough of the fuel leaking down the back of the intake and down the flywheel cover. dot wasn't to fond of it either!!!

There is a good possibility that you are leaking fuel from the lift pump. Mine was coming from a weep hole in the pump and you could not see the leak unless the truck was hi-revved, which meant that it took 2 people to find it. Hope you are able to find it soon; fuel is not cheap.
