Looking for a new truck?

I have a 1987 f250 6.9idi that i hate to get rid of but i have to get a bigger truck for work. I need to get rid of it asap and a 1997 jeep wrangler that needs to be sold. What year did ford put 4x4 in the duallys? Does anyone want to trade locally in Maryland?

4x4 is most common in the 99 and up ford duallys, they did in 94-97 but not very common

Yeah I know im just trying to get ahold of one. I drove my friends 1997 F250 powerstroke one of the best trucks out their .Had alot of power so i would like a 350 dually of it. My 6.9 has the power but I want to upgrade to a powerstroke but if i can find a f350 regular cab 4x4 dually i would buy it in a heart beat.

they are great trucks:rocking:. Are you looking for a auto or manual? I am askin bcuz the autos in those trucks were not the best but the manuals are awesome tough trannys

1987 04-16-2012 12:25 AM

yes their are amazing trucks:tu: and preferably a automatic but would get a manuel.

ok well get what you can find not to many choices out there but you will be happy with the 7.3 powerstroke:tu::tu:. It took me almost two years to find the right truck and im very happy with it. I would rather have a 94=97 ford than a brand new diesel just for the style of the truck and when they are really clean oh boy do they look amazing:tu:

You gotta love the 94 to 97 powerstrokes. They are tough and look amazing. Will do anything you want them to do. I cant wait to get ahold of one. :tu: :tu:

hell yeah they are truly a beast!!!! Are you planning on doing any mods when you find one???

1987 04-16-2012 12:52 AM

Hell yeah and i might im not to sure yet. Probably lift it 2 inches and put 33s under it for working on the farm and maybe some stacks.

97t444e 04-16-2012 12:57 AM

:rocking:. First thing you have to do is cut all the crap off the exsaust and straight pipe it!, You can do a custom air intake for 40 bucks and is real easy. Do a pyro and boost gauge and do a TS chip and you will have plenty of power for towing and fun:tu:

1987 04-16-2012 01:02 AM

That would be awsome :tu: I need to get rid of some of my toys. Then im gonna get me a big toy to mess around in.

97t444e 04-16-2012 01:11 AM

do what you have to and it will pay off when you buy a 7.3 PSD! I used to haul scrap metal, about 8000lbs and my buddy had a 07 dodge cummins with same amount of weight(give or take a few hundred pounds) and going up some steep grades my 7.3 would keep right up with him and we both had the hammer down so they are really strong once they get going and they hold speed good. I only had a straight pipe during that time

1987 04-16-2012 01:18 AM

Thats awsome. I haul hay and straw and do just about anything in my 6.9 i had the jeep for fun but its time to get rid of both i hate to do it but itll pay off when i get one

97t444e 04-16-2012 01:26 AM

ya i was surprised i could keep up with him cuz he had the 6.7 CTD but the old ford just keeps going:rocking:. Well you will have tons more fun in the powerstroke!!!! The 7.3 is a whole different beast than the 6.9, I haul hay a few times a month with mine and pull about 10,000lbs and the truck loves to pull it and it has 350,000 miles on it and it still runs like new:tu:

1987 04-16-2012 08:29 AM

Thsts awsome. A powerstroke will run forever. THey will do anything you wnt them to do plus more.:s::jump::jump:

97t444e 04-16-2012 09:34 AM

yes they will:tu:

My dad bought a 94 1/2 crew cab long bed 4x4 5 spd brand new back in the day and his camper would "overload it" so he put duals on it himself. Quite expensive, had to buy new fiberglass fenders, 6 new wheels for a dually and then 6 new tires! He did the work and paint himself for cheap. Whole thing cost about 4 grand and was well worth it!
