fuel pressure

My 95 powerstroke hasn't started all week till today when we bled air out and pull started it. But when it sits for 12 hours doesn't want to start. Has no pressure at header. I put on code reader. No fault codes no check engine light but says I have 0 PS I at fuel rail. Please tell me my mechanical pump isn't bad

Kinda sounds like the HPOP to me.

well get it to start. i don't suggest pull starting it. then check fuel pressure at the schrader valve. you should be around 65 psi.

Fuel pressure is good. I noticed that the back of my valley had diesel in it. Could that pump be failing? I checked lines they are tight no cracks or leaks. Doesn't seem to be consistant. Took ten minutes for it to finally start

on the fuel bowl itself, it is a very common prblem for the drain valve o rings to go bad and leak.

There is also a sensor that will back out of the threads or just go bad, on the right side of the fuel bowl. It's a cone shape. Just make sure that it's actually bad not just unscrewed before buying a new one because there 60 bucks!

Find the leak first... Then go from there... If the truck isn't running, you will have 0psi fuel pressure.

It has been replaced 4 months ago but the connecting wire is chewed and bare possible short?

fordornothing 01-01-2012 08:31 PM
