fuel pump

Is there anyway to turn the fuel pump up on a '94 7.3 turbo?

95powersmoker 10-08-2011 10:07 AM

Is it a 94 Powerstroke or IDI???

Strokin_and_Smokin 10-09-2011 07:44 PM

There were three motor options in 94....

A direct injection Powerstroke

An indirect injection Factory turbo diesel

an indirect injection non-turbo diesel

Does your motor look like this?

I go big or go home... LOL, it's a stancor. About 2 times the size of the GPR-109

What pump? And the answer is no.

i think i read about that mod on guzzles or some where. Does it last longer? and the fuel pump. i didn't think you could but i figured i'd ask.

95powersmoker 10-10-2011 07:51 PM

Idk that it lasts longer. It is more expensive but everybody convinced me I should have one so I bought it. Lots of people swear by them. It has done its job for two winters now...

You can increase fuel pressure by shimming the FPR, but there is no way to turn it up...

i tried that FPR shim on my 94 but i didn't notice anything. I'm thinking about doing that GPR mod but i'll wait til it's -15 out and mine goes bad and i'm stuck in a blizzard. Lol

You won't notice anything from shimming the FPR. It's just piece of mind that you are giving your injectors the fuel pressure needed...
