4" lift
ok guys the custom lift i built for my ford cummins aint cutting it to bouncy what would be a cheaper 4" lift soft ride for an extremely heavy truck cummins motor and 500lb front bumper?

Re: 4" lift
Your best ride would be a D60 with an RSK and SD springs but that's not real cheap.

I think a 600 dollar rough country lift kit isn't going to be exactly a smooth ride... There are some things out there that you get what you pay for and I would classify a lift as one of those things...

Re: 4" lift
If your running a D60 go to sky manufacturings website and order an RSK and find a set of 350 springs to go under it.

Rough Country will get you the opposite of a nice ride. When it comes to lifts you really do get what you pay for, a 600 lift will get you stock shocks just extended, blocks for the rear (read axle wrap!). Check out Skyjackers stage II kits. I am running a 6" all spring "soft ride" kit on my ford. it set me bac 1300 4 years ago. All new lift springs front and rear, nitro charged shocks it rides better than most stock new trucks.

reverse shackle kit
ok got ya im not looking to do anything for the rear soft rides are junk in the rear on a 1 ton used for towing and axle wrap aint an issue with traction bars just want them in the front as for shocks already got nitros so shocks arent needed
Hell in that case just get your stock leaf springs recurved
well im still not exactly sure what im looking for all i know is when i hit a bump th etruck is bouncy and im looking to do something about it
reverse shackle, stock leaf springs in the front are setup backwards so every impact from the from preloads and unloads them against the motion of the truck.
so reverse shacles are the way to go then?
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- what about doing a set of super duty springs with the RSK kit? some reseach ive done some people recomend it? |

The absolute best way to go would be to convert the dana 60 to coils. either steal a dodge setup or cut and weld cups on yourself. Or I even think a company makes a kit for it, i want to say Donahue does but im not 100% on that
that i wont do i took the coil spring dana 60 out of my dodge cut all that bull sh*t off and did leaf spring for a reason. i am in fact doing the shacekel reversal with v code sd leafs ive done a ton of reasearch on different sites and thats the best option
Thats funny because my offroad truck is waiting for me to get a ford dana 60 and convert it to coils.
