Dana 60 Under An F-250

My buddy just bought a Dana 60 to go under his ex-cab F-250 4x4 and he was wondering what all he was going to have to change to stick that thing under there??

That's the long and short of it........YMMV on how well it goes.

They aren't too bad if you have tall enough jack stands and/or a lift.

If you have any specific questions, ask away. :)

put a trac-bar on it or the thing will wonder all over the road, its a pretty easy swap, just get rid of all of the TTB Dana 50 crap and bolt the 60 under it, then figure out the trac-bar......

You don't "technically" need a trac bar with leaf springs but they do help out with stability, especially if you go taller.

*I should probably rephrase this to squelch confusion.*

The F350's came factory with a track bar and bracket....if you can get one off the donor truck, get it. If not, it's not the end of the world but it's highly recommended to put one on. I wasn't disputing the previous poster, just clarifying. Hope this makes more sense.

Nah, you'd lose if I really was. Just gotta make sure I don't "offend" anyone and clarify. :)

but in all seriousness, i helped a friend do this swap and the truck wondered going down the road with no tracbar, i would highly recommend the tracbar.....
