You want smoke? Put your "40hp" injectors from pensicola diesel and take away all the air from engine.

what is wrong with Pensacola Diesel Injectors? back when I had my 99.5 they were the ONLY place that had a decent price on a stock set of injectors and offered a warranty, that i never had to use.....

There Injectors have been known to have issues. Just ask Danny. I think he went through 3 sets and it still didn't run right in his Dmax.

First of all, Joe is one of the biggest contributors to mind-boggling questions on this forum. He might not post in the 'petty questions', but he sure the hell will post in a head-scratcher.

Seoncd, pensacola diesel are probably THE worst brand injector out there. Terrible spray patterns, horrible quality, hell I dont think they are even calibrated or anything before the sale. For every pensacola injector success story, I've heard 20+ horror stories.

well I can and will say this.

I shopped around and found that the price of PSD injectors are outrageous for what they do. The cost of a set of STOCK replacement ones through the outstanding vendors on here would have cost me almost as much as I had paid for my truck. Upgraded injectors were slightly LESS in price but for what I was going to use the truck for they would be overkill. I researched around, got prices from local diesel shops, shops online and I came across Pensacola Injection. I called and talked to them, they had a set of AD's in-stock, so I drove down to their shop in FL and purchased them. They cost me approx 1/3 what I was quoted for stock replacements anywhere else AND they came with a 1 yr warranty, something that NO ONE else offered.

I installed them the same day I went and picked them up and they worked perfect. I sent my cores back and that was it. Luckily I never had to use the warranty, and neither has the new owner of the truck that has been using it for almost 3 years now.

IMHO it was money well spent. Like anything, you are going to hear of 90% of the horror stories from a company and only 10% of the positive stories.

I will admit that when I was there I questioned them about their Cummins injectors, the "Stage I" and "Stage II". They could not tell me what the HP rating was, they would not tell me the spray angle nor how many holes or what the hole size was. I know I will not purchase those from them due to their lack of knowledge. BUT I will recommend and tell of the positive outcome I had with them on a stock set of PSD injectors. :c:

And have you ever ran a GOOD set of sticks in your cummins to compare these 'pensacola diesels' with? I bet not.

Thats like bragging about your brand new kia and how much a billy badass it is.

Go grab some real sticks and you'll thank me later.

The reason they can tell you the hp rating, spray angle info, hole sizing, how many holes etc, is because they have NO clue wtf they are selling.

The injectors that I purchased from Pensacola Diesel Injection were for my 99.5 FORD POWERSTROKE Diesel, AKA PSD. They worked way better than the set that were in it where 3 were not firing. They idled fine, they ran down the road fine. They didn't smoke, and made as good power as any other STOCK PSD I have ever had or driven.

I have some SDX (Southern Diesel Xtreme) 5x.016's that were custom built for my setup in my Dodge due to the pump that I am using and the twins that I am running. I never had any intentions to run their Cummins injectors after I talked to them, as I stated in the above post. I NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL run a Pensacola Diesel Cummins Injector in one of my trucks.

Please re-read what I typed before you post. What you posted is almost exactly what I posted in reference to the Cummins Injectors they sell.:argh:

Just a quick google peak... Got board after that.

Not that a set of stock injectors would give this guy the "smoke" he is looking for.

9 out of 10 issues will be exposed on the internet and exploited to their fullest extent. And maybe 1 out of every 10 good dealings will get exposed on the internet and then that one will be dismissed for one reason or another. I rest my case.

the cliffs notes for those just skimming this thread.

I personally needed Injectors for a PSD, I found them very reasonably priced through Pensacola Injection. I ran them and they worked GREAT. Others have used their products and have had less than the great experience I had with them. So buyer be ware.....

I understand you bought PSD sticks, not cummins sticks. The point is, the company sucks as a whole.

And how many miles did you put on these injectors? Did you log power/economy at all? I'd bet money economy went down due to terrible spray patterns and unequal holes, and I'll bet power went down for the same reasoning.

Ran fine for the year I had the truck and has ever since for the current owner. They haven't had any issues with the truck power wise. If they wanted a stock motored truck with a ton of power they wouldn't have bought a 7.3 PSD....

88_305, Do you always log the power and economy of all your vehicles? If you did I bet from when they were new until now, economy and power went down...... Must be from the terrible spray patterns or unequal holes from the factory....... not that the motor is wearing, the rings aren't sealing like they were when new, the valves have some carbon build up, the air filter is clogged, the turbo is introducing some oil into the motor, the exhaust is restricted, the fuel filter is clogged, the pump isn't supplying the volume it did when new, the oil needs changing, or it is just worn out...... right?

Why can't you guys just admit that I bought a set of Injectors from those guys, I had good results and leave it at that. Trust me, if I had a bad experience I would tell it but I'm not going to lie about a company that I have had no bad dealings with. If you have had PERSONAL experience with Pensacola Diesel Injection, where YOU bought a set of injectors, YOU installed them and YOU had issues and YOU had to remove them and YOU sent them back and then YOU had to reinstall replacements from them or from another company then feel free to voice YOUR PERSONAL experience, not something you read on the internet. I'm not going to beat you like a dead horse telling you that you are wrong. So please quit doing that to me.

Anything else? http://www.oocities.org/torisstarburst/deadhorse.gif
