Re: smoke
Its completely normal. Some new glow plugs or a glow plug relay could help it if its getting harder to start.

really cause my old motor never did it has same exact injectors and about 20 miles since i swampped it out for this motor... its starts right up no hard starting anymore since fuel system has blead out. thanks again is there anything on the motor itself that i should of swapped from my 97 motor i just put this one in its a 96 that did not come with split shots

Re: smoke
Well if you just swaped injectors its the oil left over from the swap. Give it a few miles and all the oil will burn out.

ive put 10m miles on it since the injectors swap about how long does it usually take to burn it all off of these

Re: smoke
I would say give it 30 or so miles
