getting a whitish blue smoke from cold start up then goes away at operating temp any ideas on what could cause this? ran a buzz test and no bad injectors not throwing any codes. some help would be awesome!

Its completely normal. Some new glow plugs or a glow plug relay could help it if its getting harder to start.

really cause my old motor never did it has same exact injectors and about 20 miles since i swampped it out for this motor... its starts right up no hard starting anymore since fuel system has blead out. thanks again is there anything on the motor itself that i should of swapped from my 97 motor i just put this one in its a 96 that did not come with split shots

Well if you just swaped injectors its the oil left over from the swap. Give it a few miles and all the oil will burn out.

ive put 10m miles on it since the injectors swap about how long does it usually take to burn it all off of these

Sometimes up to 100 or so miles to get the air out and bugs worked out... Get out there, run the crap out of it...
