wheel bearing

The right rear wheel bearing burnt up and iam having trouble pulling the outer cup off. I am guessing its welded its self on to the axle tube. Anyone have any suggestion on how to get it off? Another question is, can i pull the inside seal off with out taking the brake pads/etc off?

Can't really give ya any advice bud, the ones in my '96 were replaced when a local 4x4 shop rebuilt the front end. Did you try heating it up? Give it a few days, somebody surely can give you at least a little info.

update

I did finally get it off. Cut through the race with a hack saw, cut 95% through, then heated it up with map gas torch, drove a chisel down through the cut, which split the race the final last bit. Beat the piss out of it to get the dam thing off. Pretty much was welded all the way around. today i sanded down the ridges on the spindle and seating the new race. fortunately we've had some good weather. Having a little trouble seating the bigger inner race. wish i had a press. Should be able to finish the whole thing by the end of this week. Going to go through the whole rearend and then check the fronts as well.:s:

Glad to hear it! Yeah, my front was TRASHED, I didn't even try it. I did learn that Spicer 50 spindles are EXPENSIVE!
