I never thought i would get pulled over in the old IDI, but i was mistaken. I will begin with the cheap mods and lets see if you can figure out where the story is going. I started by putting a 3 inch straight pipe on it. Then i decided to take the 3 inch and go to a six in single stack. I then decided i need to see some smoke out of the stack so i turned in the fuel screw about 2 flats or so. The smoke was nice. At this point i wanted a little bit more power, so i cut the air cleaner to expose the element. This unfortunately almost eliminated the black smoke. I then decided to turn the fuel screw in more....well, it is almost in a half turn now. PLENTY OF BLACK SMOKE. I couldnt be happier..lol..So i went threw a town called jim thorpe here in pa and just my luck, there is a cop sitting on a side street watching the main road. I pulled out in first gear and floored it! with the 5:13 gears, i wasnt getting anywhere fast so i slammed it into second and floored it again. Lots of black smoke and the truck was roaring, smoke just pouring out and i couldnt even see the poor car behind me. The cop then pulled out like i just ran somebody over, i mean he squealed his tires and caught up to me like i was stopped. He started yelling at me for speeding and everything.. Funny part is, i was only going 25 MPH lol....I told him the truck was geared low and it only sounded like i was doing 100...Then he decided to pick on me about the noise and black smoke. He told me if he ever saw me again he would impound my truck. Needless to say, i still drive threw Jim Thorpe and still race around...lol
