need help asap

i was driving to the store when i got stuck behind a bus so after 10 or so stop and go min
i got to the store about 30 min later i went in and spent 2 hours in the store when i came out i started the truck no problems i stop and get fuel and let it idle after i came back from paying 4 the fuel i didn't notice anything untill my buddy stoped and talked to me and he said nice lope what tuner do u have then i realized it was loping . what would make it lope?

Cam Sensor 160 bucks will fix it . Had the same problem not hurting anything but will make the truck die at an idel and loose power on the highway the longer you let it go and the truck will not start after awhile

ok thanks. one more question would little bubble's in the oil cause that to

rescueeskew354 08-29-2010 04:52 PM

No the little bubbles in the oil are from either oil that is to old or to hot due to a small oil cooler on the truck . The oil cooler that is on a stroker was a poor design you can upgrade it for around 200 to 400 bucks depending on what you buy . And the oil should be changed on the PSD every 3000 miles reguard less of what others think . If you think about it the oil cooler and thin oil that is worn out will counter act with one another even if your using synthetic oil this will still happen and the oil should still be changed every 3000 miles .

ok i'll check into that but i got on more ? i replaced the cam sensor it's good now but it idles at 500 rpm's it don't stall knock on wood but in the winter it might so what could that be?

rescueeskew354 08-30-2010 09:52 PM

95 to 96 Strokers are bad about that but it is not abnormal for them to do so . Normal idle is 800 to 850 . So i ask does the idle increase after the motor is warmed up . Does the engine produce any smoke that is abnormal during an idle . while driving and decelerating does the idle go to 500 or stay higher . When the cam sensor went bad did the check engine light come on . Here are some simple things to check . weather the engine light was on or off the cam sensor code needs to be cleared . Reason the computer doesnt know you put a new one on until the code is cleared . Check the fuel filter with this new low sulfur diesel everything is getting messed up . check and see if their is fuel leaking on the ground motor frame anywhere its not supposed to be . last i can think of with the info you have given is the throttle position sensor . you can check the computer with your local ford dealer or if you or a friend has a programer for that year PSD and you have the code book it will beable to clear the cam sensor and tell you if the throttle position sensor is throwing a code . My bet is on the cam sensor needing cleared or the TPS . Try all that if that doesnt work let me know .

no it don't smoke. it does go to 500 but then jump's to about 600-625.no the engine lite didn't come on.but it might need cleared i don't have a programmer so i might take it to auto zone or advanced auto see if they can clear it.the tps seams to be fine. thanks 4 all the help

Throttle position sensor has nothing to do with the idle. Most parts stores don't have scanners that do diesels. Quick easy way is just disconnect the batteries for a minute.

ok i disconnected the batteries for a hour and still idles at 600 rpms
