MBRP Exhaust, Any Good????

Been looking at getting a MBRP 4" aluminized exhaust system for the OBS 97 F250 PSD & I was wondering what ya think of MBRP systems in general.

Diesel Manor and Bob Riley both have the same exhaust with a two piece down pipe for the same price, but Diesel Manor charges shipping but gives ya a 10% .mil discount.

Looks like it's a wash for prices from either vendor, anybody have any pro's or cons about the vendors.

i've never dealt with either of those vendors. i have dealt with a few of the vendors here on the board and they are great to deal with and can get the price right for you. all you have to do is post up a price request thread in the price quote forum and they will get back with you on the best priced exhaust they can get for your truck.

Have done that already :U::U:

Have a friend who highly recommends Diesel Manor and have heard good things about the other & what people think about the MBRP systems in general.

i had MBRP on my dodge before i put the stacks on and i have a few friends with powerstrokes that have that same system you linked to and they sound great. the fit was perfect and there is very little to no drone if you install the included muffler....

i have installed 2 systems on dmax's and had no problems. they are great imo.

Thanks guys, have several quotes from the price quote thread, but one thing I've started to wonder is:

How good will the aluminized exhaust hold up over time?

stkdram55 10-17-2008 09:54 PM

it will last you probably a good while, now you being in Wyoming and being that you guys get alot of snow and ice which usally means an awful lot of salt on the roads and that being said if you have the extra coin sitting around you might want to go with a full Stainless Steel system, its quite a bit more expensive but it will last alot longer:pca1:

We do get the occasional nice heavy snowfall, but it's more likely we get light dry snow that turns into ice. Round here they don't use salt much, but instead use some other product that leaves a white residue on the vehicle, but it's not salt and does not corrode like salt. Have not seen much rust on vehicles either so what ever they are using it does not appear to cause rust.

well then you should be fine with the aluminized exhaust:choochoo:

The MBRP exhaust is a great kit with really good fitment one you don't have to fight with alot.

As for aluminized it will probably out last the truck. It's a very tough material:rocking:
