1995-97 wire harness differences?
 

Hello,
I am restoring building a 97 flat bed dually
I have combined many parts/componants/parts and have the following problem(s)

Parts and pieces:
1995 engine
5 speed
1997 engine wire harness
1995 engine bay wire harness
1995 pcm (manual shift)
1997 cab


I did a lot of research and it seems that all componants and wiring shold be compatable


here are my problems:
Starts but will only idle
cel on
blows the 30amp wiper fuse instantly when key on


what I have done:
swapped pcm with known good
swapped accelerator pedals with known good
changed engine bay harness with known good (that's when the wiper fuse started blowing)

Look on the fuse panel in the cab and see what else is on the wiper circuit. Something is grounding out. I'd start there. Look for chaffed wires possibly going to ground.
