Truck wants to die in Reverse
 

Hello when my 97 is put in reverse she goes to stall, if I put it in reverse with out using the break it will stay running . Please any thoughts:scare2:

Sounds like possibly trans filter fell out of pump bore...I know it sounds crazy but definetly sounds like culprit

Yup try to get a OEM motorcraft filter if possible and if gasket thts on there is OEM then reuse it better than any aftermarket gasket let me know how it goes

If not that I'd look at brake booster
