injector troubles

Hello everyone. I'm new to the powerstroke world and am having trouble with my truck. I recently traded into a 95 4x4 5 speed with 288,000 miles. When I got the truck I was told that it had new glow plugs and aftermarket injectors but the first cold snap revealed that the glow plugs were bad, ran very well just hard to start. I did some searching and found how to test the regulator, it was good. I decided to have the local shop change out the plugs and gaskets and now the truck starts easily but has a very bad miss. While the valve covers were off the mechanic noticed that two of the injectors looked considerably older than the others and after unplugging power wires found that those were the two that were dead. What could've caused this to happen and how can I tell what injectors I need to replace them with?

Injectors wear out over time, without knowing what the previous owner put In it there is no way to know what they are unless you send them to a shop to be gone threw. If they are stock they are AA code injectors.
