96 PSD getting fuel in the oil
Did a buzz test and got codes p1275 & p1277. Is this sufficient enough info to detrmine that I need to replace injectors 5 & 7?
What are those codes?
i dont think fuel in oil is an injector problem. did you compression test it?
The codes are high to low side open cilinder 5 & same for cilinder 7. Haven't done a compression test.
could be Orings or injector cups to get fuel in the oil
Replaced all o-rings already as well as valve cover gaskets and pig tails. I double checked my solder connections and all seems good. The thing that bothers me the most is that 5 & 7 are on the same pig tail. Injectors at rest are closed, correct?
I've also been told that if not worked enough that they can stick open which would allow them to bleed fuel through. The truck eas my dad's but he hardly ever drove it like a 7.3 should be. Thus being said, he went strickly off of mileage for PM.

Injector cups would put fuel in the coolant.
O-rings will put oil in the fuel most likely. Maybe a bit of fuel in the oil but I'd be surprised if it was noticeable. I'd start with a compression test. |
Thanks MOOSE. I replace the two injectors and am about to pull them out again due to hydrolock. I guess I didn't get as much fluid out of the cylinder as I thought.
