95 powerstroke help!

hey y'all, im new to this site and fairly new to the world of diesels! I have a 95 f350 7.3 psd. I changed the fuel filter and cap and it didn't look bad in there at all. but now, the drain valve is leaking. it only leaks when the truck is not running. it is a steady *drip *drip *drip. I am just wondering if anyone would know where to start? Thanks!

I'm not too for sure but I know there's a like a seal in there but to replace it I think you gotta get a new fuel bowl. You'll have to have the bowl out anyway to get to it easy.

They make an oring kit that has all the rings for the drain valve

Alright, its just inconvenient and is leaking more and more it seems. I did find a new drain valve online, maybe when I did the filter change I did it wrong? Are you supposed to drain the bowl when you replace it? I didn't drain it. I just popped the old one out and the put the new one in and the new gasket and cap.

I always drained mine when I had a fuel bowl

I'm wondering if maybe you are supposed to drain it to relieve pressure in the fuel system when changing the filter? Maybe since I didn't drain it, there is too much pressure and its just leaking out of the drain valve?

They just leak sometimes, I'm sure you didn't do it
