injector cups?? head gasket??

Ok so my brother took my 95 7.3 300k mile f250 camping and made it about 10 mile till it over heated... he sat and waited for the engine temp to drop and continued about his way:argh: ( i guess with no problems) came home the next day and we swapped thermo and rad cap and flush the system. went for a balls to the wall test drive trying to get it to do it again and the system over pressurized the cap. so we flushed the living hell out of it and tried once again but still to no privale. I figured on it being gaskets or cups. but i have not torn into the motor at all to inspect the injectors (which were just replaced with new seals about 1k ago) or anything else. i also noticed that there are both long and short t stats for these... not sure if he got the right one, as i mad him do all the work. its been sitting for 2 days now and went to check if there was fuel in the resivor and there isnt even coolant in it... dont know if he left it empty or what. like i said he did all the work. and now hes out of state and i got a f'd up rig.

any ideas?? i know its all fairly brod so far but i dont want to start doing unnecessary work which is why i havent looked inside the motor.

If your loosing coolant check the engine oil to see if it's overfull then you'd know you've got an internal leak otherwise can you see if your leaking anywhere in the outside?

ive checked the oil and it seemed fine no coolant in it. but then again i just dipstick checked i didnt drain it. i should probably go out and run it when i get some free time so i know the actual symptoms.

You'll be able to tell if you got any coolant in the oil cuz it'll be overfull & the oil will be milky looking. Have you looked for any external leaks?

yeah its right at full actually a hair low. and there is no coolant in it. and no visible leaks. checked head gaskets and the whole cooling system.

Went and changed the T stat and all 8 injector cups and o-rings. now its running better than it ever has before. i didnt think it was injector cups because no fluid was mixing at first, but that seemed to fix the problem. the actual problem was that the coolant system was WAY over pressurizing and within second of starting the truck. like high pressure oil from the cups was getting in there but no fluids were mixing. strange... but when pulling the cups 4 of them the glue or sealant had broken down and they came out FAR too easily so we just changed all 4. injectors 3 and 4 were really hard to tighten down so maybe we didnt get the cups in all the way? i dont know. but no problems yet so i wont fix something that aint broke! :dixie:
