Need help with funny front end noise
 

Ok everyone I need some opinions I have this noise in my front end and it pretty noticeable! It sounds like tire whine mixed with bearing growl it gets worse when I go around turns over thirty and I can kinda feel it in my pedals. I just replaced all the bearings and races in both ends. I'm running some Goodyear wrangler dura tracks (285/75r16) with probably 50% tread. It has never done this before this bad it always made a slight whine with the tires just a slight whine. This is really getting me worried cuz I don't want to have a catastofic failure going 65! It's kinda like a whoop whoop whoop sound, it's not a constant sound. Any help would be appreciated!!!

lift the front end of the truck, check for bearing play.

sometimes the load on the bearings isn't set quite right, and you have to go in and tighten things up a bit.

or, the bearings were set too tight to begin with, and they've eaten themselves already.

Ok I will try that, when I replaced them I tightened the inner nut down tight not super tight just a little less than snug, I made sure the hub spun freely. And I drove about a hundred miles and felt the hubs and where the outer bearing sits was cool and at the inner in was a little warm.

then you didn't set em tight enough, would be my guess.
mine are set for a decent pull with a 3/8 ratchet past the point of being "hand snug" with my hand directly over the head of the ratchet (no extra leverage. picked this up doing spark/glo plugs on vehicles).

I have done 175kmh indicated with those bearings in. I have gone 4 wheeling and towed trailers. No issues.

I just found the spec for the inner nut is 50ft lbs the back off 90 degrees. I know I didn't tighten them down that much so I'm pretty sure they are loose
