how can i get better fuel milage?
 

I have a 1997 ford superduty (450). It has a 4.63 gear ratio in it. Right now it gets about 12 mpg. And weighs around 9000 lbs.

intake, exhaust, and a light foot...a chip will help...but you gotta treat the skinny pedal easy...if you chip/tune the engine get some good gauges for it...hth

If you don't absolutely need the gearing, put in 4.10

203 t-stat, tuning, royal purple

step 1, lower final drive.
step 2, try to shed some weight if you can.

~ Also try changing compressor wheel in your turbo!! Also want to change the turbo down pipe to allow for better exhaust!!

never put in a 203 T stat. all it does is sky rocket your oil temps and kill the life of it. royal purple is also a joke, WAY over priced and not worth it. scheaffers is the best oil you can get.

i use rotella myself.
