Correct Thermostat

Hello,

I just picked up a 95 F-350 with a 7.3 and it needs an oil pan. While it's out I'm doing some PM and would like to change the thermostat.

I was reading about the DieselSite 203 stat for a bit, and then noticed that it was not fro my truck, but was also reading about how the stubby ones are not the correct ones, but this is an early model truck (01/95).

So would a normal Stant stubby work in my truck, Part # 14252 to be exact (205 degree stat).

Thanks!

The housing is the difference as I found when I changed mine. Ours are longer and corrode at the sealing point. Best option is to replace the upper housing along with the tstat.

I think there is some aftermarket companies make a piece that works well.

But a new stock water pump tstat and housing has worked good for me for the last 20k when my pump went.
