how many volt should i have going through my gpr.

You should have full battery voltage once the relay closes.

If you have 12.5 volts on your batteries, that is what you should have on the big posts of the relay. If you have it on the battery side of the relay but less on the output side of the relay, then there is resistance thru the contacts in your relay.

Keep in mind that your glow plugs are basically a heating element. No matter what voltage goes thru them, they will create heat. But, the more voltage you send thru them, the hotter they get.
