rough idle

I have a 1996 F250 7.3. I've owned my truck for 2 years now, and I have replaced a lot of things on it such as glow plugs, glow plug relay, one injector, turbo, turbo pedastol o rings, clutch, master cylinder, slave cylinder, starter, altenator, a pulley, water pump, and a couple other things. Last December my truck broke down, and it sat until a month ago, we figured it was the turbo one because that was everyone I was describing the problems too told me, and because of the lose of power. So we replace the turbo, and gave her an oil change. But as soon as we pulled her out of the shop, she was still smoking like crazy, and had a rough idle. So I ordered a new injector, and we just replaced that. But now my truck still has a rough idle ( I don't know if it could be that I need to replace a couple o rings on some of my injectors, or get new injectors) and by rough idel I mean my whole truck shakes, and it still doesnt sound quite right. I took it to someone, and he looked at it, listened to it idle said it sounded really rough and put his hand in the exhaust and smelt it and called a couple of his buddies. He said from what he told them and what he thought it was that he thinks it could be bad head gaskets. So I brought it home and we looked at the oil, and I'm not really sure if its coolant in the oil or water, but it does look a little watered down, not as dark as it normally looks.
I'd really like some help with this, I've thrown alot of money into this truck the past month and are kinda running short on money, and really dont want to take it to a mechanic and pay their outrageous fees, just for them to tell me what it could be. So any answer would help.
Thanks

Might want to get somebody other than your buddy to take a look at it. If you can't determine if it's coolant in the oil, then your pissing in the wind on that point... holding his hand over the exhaust probably was as effective as an indian putting his ear to the ground to tell you when the storm was coming this way...

How many miles on the truck? Have you put it on a scanner yet to do a buzz test on the injectors as well as a CCT?

Okay long story short my boyfriend look at my truck the other day and he doesnt think its the head gasket because he told me its not water in my oil, that its fuel. So I'm getting told 2 different things. he things that it may be another one of my injector o rings or that I need a new injector.
No I havent put a scanner to my truck, cause no one i know has one so I would have to take it to a mechanic anyway, which I've never done since i've owned the truck, we've just figured everything out on our own, but this time were a little stuck.
And my truck has almost 242,000 miles

Factory injectors? Might be the cause of your rough idle... It will most likely be more pronounced when the truck is cold... Orings are more than likely shot... Need to do the entire set though and not just one here and one there...

Whether you like it or not, sometimes you do need to buck up and get the truck to a shop and pay a little money to let somebody who knows these trucks to figure some things out... Sometimes it will cost less than throwing parts at it and always being frustrated... just my .02

Ya I called a mechanic this morning that works on a lot of 7.3 and he told me that if one oring cracked that the others most likely did too, he said the injectors normally arent the case on the older 7.3 that their built really well, that 9/10 its just the o rings. he told me to start there and most likely that will solve my problem:jump:so i'm just hoping that no other problems pop up and that the orings will fix it.

Ya, its a good start...

Talk to any injector builder though... and you'll find that most factory injectors they see needing rebuilt around 200-220,000 miles or so...
