96 7.3 NO START HELP!!
 

My brothers 7.3 wont start. He had it running and was backing up out of my yard when it stalled. Then when he hit the key his "wait to start" light didnt come on at all. Yes the truck was warmed up but in his truck the light always normally comes on. Now the truck will not start, not even hickup or give any signs of life, it just cranks and cranks. I even tried trickiling in a small amount of either (yes i realize the risks of either but we are desperate). I dont think the glow plugs not kicking on is why it aint starting just because at the time his engine was at full operating temp and shouldnt have needed the glow plugs to start. My thought is maybe computer, but I dont know anything about Powerstrokes and could use some insight. Truck mods are cold air intake, straight piped, TS Chip ANY HELP OR WISE WORDS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Check your fuses... Disconnect the fuel bowl heater... Then replace fuse 22... The WTS light should then come back on when you turn the key and you should be good to go...

Dam you are good :tu: i just got back home pulled the fuse, it was blown. Replaced it and unplugged the heater, fired right up. Water in fuel light is on and cant get it to go out but it runs so good deal. Thanks Alot powersmoker
