ok so a friend of mine has a 96 f-250 5sp 4x4, it already has the banks exhaust housing and intercooler on it, with an edge evolution i think. my questions is does anyone make a set of twins for this year of truck, i checked piers and found nothing. also he wants some type of injectors are these fees able. also his rattles like theres no tomorrow, is there anything that yall would suggest to check? lastly is 12-14 MPG bad for these trucks, i mean i get 20+ with mine and of course hes jealous:poak::baby:

I think the auroras have a twin set up for the P/S. If he goes twins, he'll have to stud the heads! The do make injectors for them as well. As far as the rattle, have him try some fuel additive or a quart of 2-stroke oil (TCW-3) in the fuel and see if that helps. This new ULSD were running lacks the sulfur that helps to lube everything.

well we were going to look at it today at school but when he went to start it, turned out hte new rattle was the remaining starter gear teeth, turns out if was staying engaged and when he tryed to start it it tore of the remaining teeth and now its down for the count almost

Any Follow Up Gomer?

gomerpile 04-10-2008 07:52 AM

well we got it the starter fixed, turns out the flywheel was loose and messed it up, but as far as the upgrades goes the ones for the powerstrokes are really expensive compared to the cummins , so they will have to wait.

sorry for the long time post but with two jobs and school i dont have much time
