question about the new P.S.
 

So I'm curious what you guys are seeing on MPG. also for those of you doing deletes on the new pick-ups are you seeing better mpg even after deleting urea? kinda dumb question but lets see some numbers.

After only owning my truck for a week, I'm seeing a solid 17mpg running around town. I haven't had it on the interstate long enough yet to get an accurate highway number.

Unfortunately, when I do get it on the highway, I'll be pulling about 4000lbs, so I still won't know. A drop in the bucket as far as towing, but it's more than enough to skew my numbers.

The interesting thing will be to see how much better it does pulling that trailer compared to my Expedition EL with the 5.4L gasser that got 9mpg!

Dont think there are a ton of guys on here with them. What I have heard from others is about 16-18 on the hwy...

thats not bad though, 16-18 stock.

I've seen more than a few pushing 20mpg + stock. They do great with all of the emissions equipment on. They're not like the 6.4's where they regen and burn everything out by dumping raw fuel down into the exhaust system, they use the urea to aid in the burning of it, keeps the mileage up. They are probably one of the best powerstrokes to date in the mileage department. At least in stock vs. stock configuration. 6.4 is real close if not higher with deletes. Not sure what most 6.7 guys are getting for mileage with the deletes though, usually once they're deleted they're out romping on them.

Got to drive my buddies 2012 F350 yesterday with and without a gooseneck, without the trailer on I78 I was seeing about 23 mpg, after we hooked up and still empty I saw 22mpg, with two 4ton skidloaders onboard I saw 16 mpg which blew my mind. My 6.0 would have prolly been making maybe 9-10 ... maybe. These 6.7s are impressive

Man, those numbers sound really (too) good. Is he bone stock? What rear end is he running? 3:31? No way he's getting that with the 4:10.

What's the break-in period? Can I expect to see my numbers get better once I put more miles on? I'm getting 17 around town carrying nothing by my ass and what Henry Ford gave Blanca when she was born. That's running the 3:55. If your buddy is running the 3:31, it might be worth a swap for me in the future.

Stock except muffler taken off and new highway tires that are supposed to boost mileage which it seems to do, other than that, stock

my buddy has an 6.7 dually and we tow identical trailers and identical loads. our trailers weight 10,200lbs empty and on our last quarterly ifta tax, he said he got an average of 10.6mgp and i got right around the same. i'd like to see what they get with deleting the emissions, but he's an old timer and wont do that!!!

The deletes on the 6.7's don't make as big of an improvement as they do on the 6.4 for the reasons I stated above. They get very good mileage in stock form. 20 is not unheard of. Obviously if you're running 4.10's you shouldn't be too concerned with mileage... otherwise, why'd you get them? Know what I mean?
