Nice truck!

How do you like the new 6 speed auto?

jstange2 09-12-2010 09:19 PM

No complaints so far. Pulls my twenty foot enclosed like its not there. It has a date with the service dept to get the 400/800 upgrade with tcm flash on the 25th.
Forgot one.

Those vents are AWESOME for heating up Loc-Tite in the winter! I had a '08 F550 for a while.
I've heard good things about the new 6.7L, but haven't had the opportunity to drive or ride in one.

Thanks guys. Lovin it so far. It has been pretty much averaging what the dodge was getting for mileage on average with 1900 miles currently.
Just put the reese integrated fifthwheel/gooseneck in the other night.

That's a really nice truck, but 1900 miles in less than a month? I've only put about 6000 miles on my truck in the last year. LOL.

cause the engine is a closely guard secret... when you buy a new Ford they make you sign a contract to never show your engine off... lol

Great looking truck!

jstange2 01-22-2011 07:48 PM

7400 miles today.

rickey1172 01-22-2011 08:17 PM

400hp and 800tq, it was bumped up from 390hp and ?735tq? shortly after chevy released their 397hp figures.

brad2003 05-20-2011 08:12 AM

never mind i asked the dealer when i picked mine up yesterday

jstange2 05-28-2011 03:10 PM

12,500 miles. I just put another 5 gallons of diesel exhaust fluid in at 12,000 miles. So only 10 gallons in 12,000 miles, roughly $50 total. I've been pulling about 3,500 miles and total average is right at 14.0 mpg. My buddy and I both thought it felt stronger after 10,000 miles.

jstange2 06-27-2011 10:21 PM

14,500 miles. A-ok.
On a sidenote, my buddy traded his 08 d-max on a new 11 d-max. 1200 miles and there was a leak between the transmission and transfer case. I tease him a lot.

Oh, yeah. On friday I went to get a load of gravel from the concrete plant and said I wanted 11,000 lbs because that is just slightly overloading the trailer. I pull away with 16,500 lbs in the 14,000 GVWR dump trailer.:argh: She was a little slow taking off but with the gain at 6.0. Not even an issue

zach_west 06-30-2011 06:12 PM

We have a 2011 f450 at work and I can't even hear it running. I dislike that.

wmorrispilot 07-01-2011 05:41 PM

Man that is one kick a?? looking truck. This is the first year since 2002 that I have ever even thought about trading in my 2000 F-250 .. How big 5th wheel you pull and how much does your trailer weigh ???? thanks

My 5th wheel is only about 7700lbs loaded. The gooseneck dump trailer empty weighs 14,800 with the pickup. My enclosed is probably 4200 and very heavy in the front with tools.

Killer looking truck. CC/LB need to be sitting on 35's or 37's... just saying.

Sounds like you actually use your truck the way it was intended though, so 37's are probably not the smartest choice. I just want to see them on there for my own selfish reasons!!!

I would like the looks but 37's would be foolish for me. Worse mileage, more expensive to replace.

You need to update your info, it still says 2006 cummins!!!

Agreed, but those bed/cab configs look killer like that! Any mods planned for the future?

Good catch! I can't believe I forgot that detail.

I'm thinking I'll have this one for 7-8 years so I may do something after warranty is gone just for fun. As far as bolt on stuff. Haven't really thought about it to be honest. I really like it the way it is.

Mdub707 07-08-2011 10:19 AM

I can't argue that, Ford did a really nice job with these 2011's. :c:
