2011 F350 walk around...

What a beautiful truck... Wish I had 70k in the bank...

Captain Call 02-22-2010 11:34 AM

I'm sorry but these suckers are even uglier than the last model. I've always liked the looks of the fords but these are hideous to me. Just me I guess. That is a nice truck as far as features and I'm hoping this new diesel does well for them.

x2. especially the fender/headlight combo i think that right there makes the truck look kinda weird

lol looks like they all took a nose dive in styling. Oh well, here's hoping that Dodge, Ford and GM will all come out with a nice HD re-design in 5 more years hahaha. Aside from aesthetics they all seem to be on top of their game. It's getting quite competitive these days.

smokincummins92 02-22-2010 09:41 PM

Yea the styling doesnt do much for me at all. Im a dodge guy anyway but I have liked the fords styling....untill now....I love the new dodges tho!!!

toy4xchris 02-23-2010 01:49 PM

I personally like the 6.4s body style better I don't care much for the new front end they put on it but the interior seems to be about the same as mine which is really nice and comfortable.

wildbill 02-23-2010 02:50 PM

Well with the new Scorpion diesel, I'm sure there's going to be too many bugs.

toy4xchris 02-23-2010 07:40 PM

every new model motor has bugs it's if they are gonna stick it out and get it figured out and going after wards.

CumminsRig 03-01-2010 12:58 PM

If you think that truck is ugly wait till you see a dually they look ridiculous. I'm still laughing 10min later. Wow way to go Ford.

CARP 04-01-2010 08:50 PM

It would be a nice drive I'm sure. :tu:

MotorOilMcCall 04-02-2010 10:33 AM

It looks like they forgot to redesign the truck from the A-Pillar back... How many times can they put a new nose job on the same truck... And yeah, so they changed the tailgate and the brake lights, big deal. The side profile looks the same as it did in 03, just with some added tackiness with those hood vents.

Chevy and Dodge are at least sticking with a smooth sided look, no unnecessary chrome or amber on the sides.

hock6.0 04-02-2010 04:56 PM

i like the truck but it really needs a new grill. it looks out of proportion, which make the whole thing look like hell.

01superduty89 04-02-2010 10:59 PM

i like the stance i think its the best out of the newer trucks. Sits nice and high. as for styling im not to sure yet

ArizonaRedneck 04-03-2010 02:25 AM

it looks alright but with everything thats on it sure leaves the potential to have problems we will see how it really shapes up in a couple of years after the bugs are worked out :humm:

stonedmason666 04-03-2010 07:25 PM

so whos getting me one for my birthday lol

FordDZLMan9191 06-09-2010 04:58 PM

I just don't like the grille or the dually fenders, talk about a bubble butt. I don't care for the Power Stroke badge either but I suppose they could have done worse. As for "forgetting to redesign the body from the A pillar back", think about part interchangeability. You can take some parts from a new truck and put them on your older one and have something custom with factory parts. All in all though, I'd like to check one out sometime.

Ok ford jokes over .. let ray charles go home and bring back the engineers. But really, who is in charge of the headlights and taillights ... for the love of god flip them back over so they are right side up. Looking at that grill I would say ford is a big believer in equality these days. And was that a square fuel door??

What's wrong with a square fuel door?

Ok so my chevys and dodges all have round fuel doors ... they just look right to me ... that square door on the ford just looks not quite right.

FordDZLMan9191 06-09-2010 09:46 PM

Ok, I've only had one vehicle that was not a Ford, a 96 Ram, and it had a round fuel door. All the rest have been 92-96 body style Fords and the 85 Ford I have now and they all had square doors so I guess round ones don't look right to me.

Kyle_KleinSS 06-10-2010 01:48 PM

I believe they have been designing it for like 10 years or so if I remember what I read. And they did very extensive testing go to the website and watch the videos they are pretty neat. I saw one in person they are at the local dealers here now they are beautiful. I couldnt get inside it though it was after hours and were all locked

kbailey 06-10-2010 06:22 PM

So I just checked the university ford downstairs ... '08 Ford f250 ... ROUND fuel door.

Not the university truck but a pic for reference:

FordDZLMan9191 06-10-2010 09:03 PM

I think it was a square door from at least the 70s, maybe older(i don't know much about anything older than 73) up to 97.

Mdub707 06-11-2010 12:57 AM

The gas door also has to be bigger than normal since the fuel fill up and the urea tank fill up are both in there. If it was round it would be huge.

FordDZLMan9191 06-11-2010 01:26 AM

I wonder how many people are actually going to go to their dealer to have the urea tank filled? :humm:

cmns2500 06-11-2010 01:31 AM

wow...ford's just get uglier and uglier every generation...the last SD i even remotely though looked good was the 06 up style....

but there are only a few things that look better than an OBS ford...and that would be a second gen Dodge...haha

I'm sure you'll be able to buy it by the gallon at napa and autozone and all them soon enough, if you already cant.

The VW's with urea injection will actually only let the car start a set amount of times (maybe like 12) after the tank goes empty. If it isn't filled at the dealer the car will fail to start after that 12th start, and will then have to be towed.
