2011 6.7

I am looking to sell the old 7.3 and get in to a 6.7 but with out dropping 50K, I found a 2011 with 168K on it, how reliable are these trucks and engines, with a dpf and urea delete and a egr delete I have heard they are the new 7.3. Anyone know any common issues, should I stay clear with that many miles or? I just want something I can drive reliably and not have issues every other week like my old 7.3.

I don't know if they are the new 7.3 or not, but I am betting that they are as I have ordered a new over 50k model and will be selling my 7.3 with 200k on it. I really thought I would keep the7.3 the rest of my life, but my wife thought I should upgrade and after driving a new one I could not believe how much more power it had and how quiet it was. I have heard good things about the 6.7's, but only time and miles will tell if they can match the 7.3's in reliability.

Deletes seem to be the key to problem solving. Some report turbo issues out there but '15 swaps are pretty easy. Other turbo options exist so it's your call. Water in the fuel seems to a problem that can easily down a truck. The OEM stuff for water removal works but most will add additional water removal filter/setups to make sure it's a non-issue.

All of these are easily overcome so don't look at them as a complete show stopper.

Buy a newer 6.7 like a 2013 early ones had turbos that failed like crazy
