Does anyone know if any of the emmision crap is warrentied on the new 6.7? If not I'll prob do the egr dpf deletes sooner than later. Any input would be great or any suggestions also. Thank you.

The whole engine/trans warranty will be void as soon as you put a programmer on it.

Coastal350 08-15-2013 08:14 AM

If you need work done, take the programer off and unplug battery for 10 minutes

Coastal350 08-22-2013 08:39 PM

Its under warrenty. Drive it hard

gunman41mag 08-23-2013 01:25 AM

When I bought my BRAND NEW truck in 2008, I was told to drive the first 1,000 miles under the speed of 55 MPH:humm:

Congrats, you will Love it!
Read your Diesel supplement guide and just follow what is stated and you will be fine.
I re-read mine from time to time, but that's me.:tu:

Shall I keep towing to a minimum for awhile? Prob don't matter pulling season will be over by the time I get the truck but we may hook the camper up and go. I'll take it easy for awhile and mix in a good beat run here and there:tu:

I test drove a 2014 F250 and 2013 F350. I actually liked the 250 a bit better on its ride and only 1500 lbs less towing. Sticker price for the F250 was $62k, F350 was at $63.5k. Might I ask what you walked away paying for yours?

"Maxie" 09-09-2013 01:54 PM

If your asking me what I paid, My sticker was $63,786.00 And I paid $51,330.00 with 7yr/75,000 mile extended warranty. When the deal was closed the finance guy made a remark to the sales Manager, "that If he comes cross many more buyers like me, he's changing careers!" Yes, I'm that stubborn! Even with the deal I got I know they still made money. I learned long ago there's such thing as the "Msrp", "invoice" and then there's the "Real Price!" The dealerships don't like people like me, they prefer the excitable folks who can't wait to get the deal over with and be on there way in there new truck.:humm:

Haven't got it yet but it will be in the tune of 52500. That was the quote the guy gave me after ordering it with all the things I wanted on it.

04Mach1Blurr 09-10-2013 09:41 AM

Awesome, was trying to get a ball park on where people were walking away with it. I'm looking after January at getting a '12-'14. See what rebates and incentives and what not I can get the best price off of.

My new truck is in my possession!! Damn that thing drives sweet it is quiet and goes like scalded ass ape!!! Can't wait to hook onto the goose neck and see what it does under a load. It is a sweet truck though. I'll try and post pictures but I am a computer illiterate guy.:jump::tu:

DPDIESEL 10-20-2013 05:12 AM

Congrats on the new truck. Let's see the pictures.

Just picked up my 2014 f250 lariat, stickered for 63200 paid 52... Z plan price

Hoverp 01-21-2014 08:37 PM

Read your book, it says no towing for the first 500 miles.

bobfbigman 01-25-2014 03:38 PM

Keep it at 65mph for the first 1000 miles or so and then keep it sane for the next 5k or so. a couple long trips help things break in a little better, when I got my 04 I put 3500 miles on it in under 3 weeks, I just went where ever I wanted. short trips do nothing for break in so keep that in mind. just remember you bought an awesome diesel truck, not a 500hp Mustang. Enjoy.:c:

Stumblefoot 10-19-2014 01:36 PM

Yeah I did about 1,000 empty miles running 55-65 mph, you will see a lot more power than the old 7.3 and yes the new engines are super quiet. with over 100,00 miles mine is still quite as a church mouse, exhaust pipe still clean as the day I bought it. If you delete the emissions you have voided any and all warranties, and are in violation of federal law. I know a lot of guys do it....and get away with it, but a lot of people drink and drive too. :scare2: So ask a lot of questions, before removing it:humm:
