Exhaust manifold, header?? Differences

Whats the benefits of running a header or 6.0 manifold, or polished 6.4 manifold? What are the benefits of running a header vs a manifold. I am specifically asking about the options offered by various diesel performance shops for the 6.4 Any help would be appreciated. The prices range from 285 for 6.0 manifolds up to 1200 for headers.

From what I've seen all of the 6.4 manifolds DO NOT hold up and blow apart.

A lot of guys are using the 6.0 manifolds to take care of the up-pipe's blowing apart on the 6.4's. The 6.0 is just a different design. Doug @ GoGo has just done some research on flow numbers and stock for stock a 6.4 flows better, believe it or not. Once both are ported they're about the same... Not really worth changing to one or the other for flow, since the difference is minimal, but to get rid of the crummy up-pipe design on the stock 6.4 setup, it's worth it.

I would avoid the headers for a 6.0 or 6.4 at all costs myself.

Does anybody know the flow rates for a ported/polished 6.4 manifold and the 6.0 manifold? Ive looked on the web with no luck and the various diesel shops that sell the manifolds do not give the flow rates.
