6.4 PSD Performance So Far

Does anyone have any experience with these? Any Techs that might have worked on them? What kind of issues are they having? Whats good and bad about them?
I hear they are getting realy poor fuel milage.

?

I have heard both ways from owners. I have seen some getting 17 to 18 and some 10 to 12. It could be a lot of things. Performance wise, they are sweet. Very responsive and ride great. Right now they are trouble free with the exception of a reprogram. Very pleased with the fact they have had no issues thus far. The 6.0 was stumbling at times by this point.

Anyone else?

Any over heating complaints with the heavy haulers?

I have heard much the same as Jon. Not too many problems at all. I am sure once more of them get broken in, the fuel mileage will increase.

Lets hope so, the milage they get so far is pathetic.

2 friends of mine have 450`s they love the truck there only complaint is they suck on fuel....i rode in the one and i will say his 450 rides just as nice as my 2500 ram.... power i cannot say i did not drive it. and he did not get into it while i was out with him.....very nice truck i just do not like the headlights...

The front end is finally gowing on me. But i think i'll keep my 6.0 a while longer. I get 18 mpg most times.

I'd say that's because you can get a 6.4 with 3.73 gears all the way up to 4.88's.

An F 250 with 3.73's should get respectable mileage. A heavy dually 450 with 4.30's or 4.88's is certainly gonna get less. It's made to tow not commute.
IMO :scared2:

I've got 4.11 gears in my 6.0 and still get 20 mpg empty. I commute to work 30 miles one way....of course i burn free WVO fuel so i don't care what milage i get. :D
