sweet I am a while away from my oil change but now I know what size the socket is to do it lol how many miles are you doing it at? I am debating the 10,000 miles between changes thinking no more than 8,000 since i tow and the around town driving. What kind of oil are you using also debating going synthetic for this truck.

HI toy4xchris, I'm changing my oil at 5,000 miles, I'm using ROTELA 15-40, at wal-mart I paid $11.27 a/gallon, the fram oil-filter was $17.68, the 36mm socket was $7.99 at ADVANCE AUTO PARTS, Now if I was to use synthetic ROTELA 5-40, then I would change it at 10,000 miles cause it's $22 a/gallon. While I was down there I drained the water out of the fuel filter.

Make sure that you use CJ-4 (low ash) oil, and you undo the filter housing lid before you drain the oil. There is a check valve in there that holds almost a quart of oil in the housing.
