P0088 code and check engine light on.

So I just got my 08 6.4 and after a week of driving it the check engine light came on and then it had a loss of power at around 2300 rpms, is my hpfp going out or is it the frp sensor?? I was monitoring the fuel pressure and its at 24k when you floor it but then when you got to floor it again it's at like 18k then drops to around 8k. Now the weird thing Is that it only dose it In the afternoon after work not in the morning on the way to work which I find weird.

If P0088 is the only code you are getting you may have a sticking PCV ( ) in the HPFP.
This could be due to a known mfg. defect

So my alternator went out on my truck Friday on the way to work so I had the local shop scan the truck to see what it said about my CEL and the code and he said Frp sensor but I told him I read on here and other places that it was the hpfp like someone said above and provided the tsb. Now the only thing Is that tsb is old the newer one 12-7-7 doesn't mention the replacement of the pump just a reflash from Ford, has anyone tried that and has it worked?? The post I saw was from 13 and I haven't found anything newer on the issue.

I would much rather not throw 3k+ out the window right now if I can help it.
