To Flush, or Not to Flush

08 F350 6.4
Getting ready to do the 100k PM which includes changing out the coolant. Should I simply drain, rinse, and refill? Or should I use a chemical flush product to clean the whole system out? Any tips, tricks, or advice is appreciated.

I drain & refill with MOTORCRAFT GOLD, didn't use any flush products

Sounds good.
Do you try to stick with OEM fluids and consumables or does a spec equivalent usually work. I usually have to get the SP type trans fluid from the dealer. Local O'Rielly is iffy on stock.

I prefer to work on "the tug" when feasible/economical, but I don't want to give the dealer any excuse to avoid honoring the warranty.

dump it, flush it with water and put a good ECT coolant in it. That ford gold has silica in it and it will separate after a while. Alil while back I thought I had a clogged oil cooler :scare2: my deltas were off by like 60 degrees, turned out to be a bad thermostat and crappy coolant. I had just purchased the truck not long before. Dont do the chemical flush if you dont have to. I can recommend tho to get an airlift to pull the coolant back in. You def dont wanna cavatate the water pump!!!
