Intake sounds

Hi, got a new to the family truck bout 6 months ago now. Only put about 6000 or so kms on it sinse we bought it. It has a spartan tuner with full deletes and an s&b intake on it. Parently its had it since about 120 000km and now its got 235000ish kms. I have a question about an intake sound. When cold or warm it idles and drives fine. When it is warm thought it makes sorta a knock or thump dont know how to describe it out of the intake when idling but no miss or anything. It still drives and everything else fine and there is no codes. It always had the sound sinse we bought it. Is this anything or am i just worried about nothing? This is once it's upto operating temps. Thanks in advanse and sorry for the rookie question.

Its a normal sound. My 08 6.4 does the same thumping sound out of the intake with no drivability probs. Nothing to worry about and nothing you can do. These 6.4 make so strange noises like behind the driver wheel when driving in town mine makes a funny ticking type sound and I researched every where finially I found a ford tech bulletin saying its normal and that it is actually the sound of oil going through the oil passages in the block or the harmonics of the engine.

Thanks so much for the reply! Ok good to hear! And yeah I think the fuel cooler makes a tick noise also sometimes I think or thats what I've noticed. I love how cool the egts stay with our duel sequential turbos! Remember getting on it hard to get upto highway speed and I don't even think they went above 900 haha these trucks are thirsty beasts though haha not complaining I know its a heavy ass truck. Averaging 13ish mostly city which actually isn't that bad untill you see the fuel prices in my area..... Diesels at 147.9ish a liter in my area..... thats gotta be close to 5.75 a gallon

Probally from normal rocker arm wear 6.4's are notorious for 100,000 mile rocker arms
