Used 6.4 from dealer with dpf delete...

Hi everyone im new to the diesel world, but im not completely stupid about them. I am looking at buying a 2008 crew cab lariat 4wd with the 6.4 from a dealer. The truck already has a 4 inch exhaust with dpf delete and an edge cs programmer in it. Truck only has 40,000 on it. Dealer is telling me if i buy the truck from him and purchase the aftermarket warranty witch puts it to 75,000miles that he will cover me even though it already has dpf delete and programmer... Has any one done this and should i trust the dealer...

Agreed, that'd be the best way to go. You certainly don't want to get stuck later down the line without it, they're quite expensive even in the used market to get one on there. Is this at a Ford dealer?

Yes it is at the ford dealer haven't got a chance to get down and talk with them again about putting it all in writing hopefully i can do it before the weekend..

What happens if the truck breaks down out of town and you have to bring it to another dealer??? What then?

don't belive it . if engine blows and it has a tunner and modified exhuast to increase power and combustion pressure. the dealer and warranty company will leave you hanging.the warranty is by the warranty company not the dealer

If a dealer has that truck it has already been flagged in their system. They wont warranty anything.

OK so i have already bought the truck, but i have written papers showing that they will cover if something does go wrong. Shouldn't that make them liable if anything does go wrong. Also if they sold me a truck knowing what it had done to it and then knowingly sold me a warranty to wouldn't that also put them liable for it if something goes wrong.
